Saravio is a major character in 'A Flame in Hali', he is thought by his companion, Eduin Deslucido, to be a bastard child of a Comyn Lord due to his bright red hair and light eyes. He is in possession of a strange gift that Eduin sees as invaluable to his vengeance. Saravio found Eduin in the slums of Thendara, near death in a ditch. He took in Eduin, nursing him to health, and using his Gift to sing him to contentment, and much to Eduin's surprise, arousal. Saravio's past is largely unknown, but he is known to of been a member of a Tower before they drove him out due to his unusual gift. Saravio's Religious beliefs are also considered strange by custom, and most of the Darkovans. He is a devout of Naotalba, Bride of the Lord of the Seven Hells, Zandru. His faith is so strong that he is nearly consumed by it, and thinks Naotalba blessed him with his gift.

Ablilities[]

Saravio's Gift, or Donas, is a strange one. Saravio refers to this gift as "Naotalba's Blessing". Likely of the Alton line due to the forced rapport that his song is able to establish with others, laran gifted, or not. Saravio has the ability to establish a telepathic link to another mind without the knowledge of the one affected. His gift is activated through his song, similar to the Command Voice that some of the Lords of the Comyn use on their vassals. First encountered as a soothing melody by Eduin, he was able to share visions of happily dancing chieri to ease Eduin when Eduin was in great turmoil due to his father's hateful vengeance spell cast upon him. Saravio's Song opens the minds of those who hear it to manipulation without their knowing, or recognition of any sort of intrusion. This gift is limited by the way it eats away at the user's reason, and proper faculties of the mind when over-used; causing violent convulsions and exhaustion. This over-exertion was his eventual destruction by Eduin when he was helping the Lady of Valeron out of her devastation. Eduin uses this ability with his laran to manipulate people into trusting him, and distrusting his enemies. This unusual gift had him cast from his tower life.
