Damian Deslucido was the king of Ambervale-Linn, a minor mountain kingdom at the end of the Hundred Kingdoms era. Like many others in this period, he had plans to conquer and unify Darkover under his rule. Unlike a few others, he had a real chance largely by the help of his half brother, the ruined laranzu Rumail.
She killed Taniquel's husband and attempted to marry her son, Belisar Deslucido, to have complete right over the newly conquered kingdom of Acosta and become a relative of the Hastur's since Taniquel was the niece of the then King Hastur, Raphael II. With her escape her plans became complicated and gave the renegade laranzu Rumail a circle to create powder melts bone to use against the Hastur army and its enemies.
When it lost the war ended up being killed to avoid that the secret of the Deslucido gift spread itself causing a true chaos in Darkover.
